We are staffing a fulltime position in Ashburn as a DEVOPS Engineer with Java development and Linux system experience. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with architecting, building, managing and troubleshooting Production Systems running in a Linux environment, and enjoy working in an environment where every day brings a new challenge, a new technology, and a new mission.
Required experience:
- Must be a US Citizen
- Experience with Linux (Red Hat/CENTOS)
- Experience with Shell Scripting
- Experience with SQL databases
- Experience with Networking (SSH, routers, load balancing, VPN, VPC)
- Experience with Security (X509, firewall rule management, user/role administration)
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- BS in Computer Science or Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience
Desired skills include:
- Familiar with PostgreSQL database
- Familiarity with basic Linux system management
- Familiarity with GCP/AWS/Azure cloud environments
- Familiarity with Apache/Tomcat/Undertow web/servlet and performance tuning
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes or equivalent container experience
- Familiarity with DevOps tools such as GitHub/Lab, Jenkins, SONAR, Agile (Jira/Kanban)
- Familiarity with Observability Stack (PRTG, Nagios, Grafana/Loki, Prometheus, ELK)
- Familiarity with Geospatial tools
- Familiarity with Security (MFA)
