The city of Fairfax in Fairfax County, VA is a blend of the colonial and the contemporary. Old Town Fairfax and Fairfax Courthouse districts reflect the 18th century history of the town in its well preserved buildings and homes. At the same time, the city and county represent the second largest suburban office space market in the U.S. with its 116 million square feet.
Filling some of that office space are a collection of internet and technical firms like Capitol Advantage, General Dynamics, Geeknet, Invincea, and Wrong Planet, all of whom have ongoing technical staffing requirements. In addition, Fairfax is home to Fort Belvoir and a raft of software companies whose technical staffing needs include software engineers, developers, full stack software developers and more. Prominent local software firms include CyberCoders, Aerotek and Oakton Software. It really is not surprising to see such tech growth in Fairfax given its proximity to the Dulles Tech Corridor, the heart of the technical industry in D.C. and Northern Virginia.
