We are staffing a full-time position as a Java Software Developer for a growing organization. The person in this role will be a member of a development team focused on the development of web-based applications that analyze big data and visualize the results in multiple dimensions and views. You will become familiar with the application of best-of-breed opensource software, advanced data analytic techniques and machine learning algorithms to solve challenging questions.
Requirements include:
- Must be a US CITIZEN and eligible to obtain a clearance
- Experience programming in Java, HTML/JavaScript
- JUnit testing
- SQL databases
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- BS in Computer Science or Engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience
Desired skills include:
- JavaScript Framework; e.g., VueJS
- Shell scripting
- UNIX/Linux fundamentals
- PostgreSQL database
- Agile and Scrum development
- Geospatial Information System (GIS) programming
- Continuous integration and deployment
