We are staffing a fulltime position as a Senior Systems Administrator for a growing company in Herndon, VA. This person will oversee hardware infrastructure, assist with automation projects and perform some programming tasks. This person will have the ability to work remotely, but MUST BE able to be onsite as needed for maintenance, etc.
Duties include:
- Oversee and optimize production infrastructure which includes Windows Server, Linux and VMWare systems
- Manage and implement our infrastructure maintenance schedule, which includes security testing, backups, OS updates, server migrations, etc.
- Improve server automation, load balancing and deployment
- Participate in backend coding projects that support frontend operations
Requirements include:
- Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3-5 years of relevant experience managing a production environment consisting of Windows Server, Linux and VMWare systems
- Strong analytical and project management skills
- Entrepreneurial outlook
- Some Python experience is a plus
