Software Developer / API Integration – Top Secret/SCI Clearance

We are staffing a fulltime position in Washington, DC as a Software Developer/API Integration. As part of an Agile Team, this role designs, develops, and maintains software applications using a tailored SAFe Agile DevOpsSec Scrum process. This role uses best practices and patterns to perform design and development using object-oriented programming languages. Also expected to perform automated testing and unit testing while performing automated deployments of software modules using a Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools pipeline. Duties also include participating in daily scrums, performing software requirements analysis, risk identification, risk mitigation, and collaboration across Agile teams. Develop and integrate custom developed software solutions to leverage automated deployment technologies. Participate in software programming initiatives to support innovation and enhancement. Participate in the development of documentation. Use industry leading tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Unix bash scripting, Java, JavaScript, Git and HTML. Develop and execute project plans. Leverage Atlassian tool suite like JIRA and Confluence to track activities. Create innovative solutions to meet the technical needs of customers.

Requirements include:

• Must be a US CITIZEN with a TOP SECRET/SCI CLEARANCE
• 9+ years of experience performing systems software development.
• Deep understanding of API design concepts and standards (REST, SOAP, etc.).
• Proficient with common Agile practices, service-orientated environments, and development practices. In-depth use and experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Java.
• In-depth experience in the software development lifecycle, with experience delivering within DevOps toolsets/practices.
• Direct experience utilizing software testing performance tools, such as Junit. Experience with scripting languages, such as Python, Bash.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment and tempo. Experience with development in Cloud Platforms (e.g. AWS).
• Experience with development leveraging cloud data services (ex: S3, RDS, EFS).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required.
