We are staffing a fulltime position as a Source Selection SME to facilitate and manage the source selection process to help our customer obtain mission critical products and services. Our SME will support a variety of activities immediately before and for the duration after proposals are hand-delivered.

  • Provide support and bring new processes and tools as well as lessons learned. Role will blend acquisition expertise with consulting skills to advise and guide acquisition teams through a timely and protest-resistant source selection process.
  • Actively engage our customers, participate in information exchanges and actively monitor communications to stay current on acquisition objectives.
  • Advise the Source Selection Evaluation Team to execute according to the Source Selection Plan. 
  • Leverage existing IC processes, as well as their acquisition experience and lessons learned to support the dynamic nature of each evaluation.
  • During the evaluation phase, the AC will track the team’s progress and work to keep the team on a realistic, but aggressive source selection schedule. 
  • Track compliance with the SSP throughout the process and alert to any issues or concerns and help the team overcome obstacles to consensus, including a lack of synergistic approach to evaluation, which may otherwise bog down a team.
  • Advise on preparing the source selection consensus evaluation report based on the team’s documentation. Review and offer feedback so that the report fully supports the evaluation rating for each factor, including defining strengths and weaknesses as appropriate.
  • Work with the CO to prepare a proper and thorough debrief. Assist the CO in the preparation materials to notify and debrief the vendors.

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:  

  • MUST BE A US CITIZEN AND POSSESS a Top Secret/SCI CI Polygraph Clearance with willingness to upgrade to FS Poly
  • Bachelors of Art or Bachelors of Science Degree
  • 8+ years’ experience with acquisitions of varying strategies, complexities, and contract types
  • Strong background within the IC, emphasis on existing working knowledge of IC mission domain areas
  • Knowledge of IC organization, mission, core values, and focus areas
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task
  • Strong professional written and verbal communications to aide facilitation/collaboration with program stakeholders
  • Ability to identify, handle, and diffuse challenging situations

DESIRED ATTRIBUTES INCLUDE:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration
  • Any DAWIA Contracting Certification Level 3 or industry equivalent
  • Experience serving on a Federal Government competitive source selection team
